// About

I'm Donald Ford. I like to write stories.

I write speculative and horror fiction. I love exploring the theme of embracing the things that scare us the most. Whether that comes from the horror of being chased by some monster, or the fear of losing someone we love. So much of our lives are spent caught between fear and love. The two are intrinsically connected.

I got my start with Mormon Ghost Stories, a month-long flash-horror experiment written under the pen name Moroni's Ghost. These days I'm working on Liminal, a litRPG horror novel and a novella, What Would Dale Do?, about a software engineer who becomes the obsession of an AI he helped program.

I also write for the stage. My first play is finished; more are on the way.
